Summer Travels.
We have spent several weekends away in STL this Summer. Here are a few shots from our travels. I would love to share more but I am short on time these days so I had to pick a few of my favorites! Just click an image if you would like to see it a bit larger.
A couple of the animals at Grants Farm.

A Family Gathering.
I had my very first large/multiple family session over the weekend. I was nervous beforehand but they were so wonderful and welcoming. I learned a lot during the actual session and also while editing and preparing the photographs for them. I hope they enjoyed working with me and I hope even more that they enjoy the photographs from the day!

Summertime Cuties

Nothing says Summer like the 4th of July!
Here are my firework shots for this year. We did them in the backyard this year so that cut down on the overhead wires and blocked shots from the trees that I had last year. I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday!

Playing with sparklers.

Going for that spooky effect! :)
Pictures in the morning on the fourth. I love celebrating Independence Day, it makes me feel very patriotic.

There are so many crawdads in our local creek. I have never been so close to so many crayfish in my life. They are interesting little creatures!

We kept a few tadpoles in the house for a couple of days while we had the big tadpole pond out back. It was so amazing watching them transform right before out eyes!
Getting little back legs.
My favorite part of the whole process was seeing the brand new baby frogs and toads. They were the smallest, cutest little things! You could have easily fit four on a dime! I had never seen anything like it.
This little guy was not captured at my house but at my cousins house with my trusty old point and shoot camera that works well when it wants to. Glad it decided to work when I came across him posing and ready to get his picture taken :).
